The Oside Robotics 6WD Carbon Fiber Inspection Rover RC Platform is designed to be easily customizable and ready to operate out of the box within minutes. Its low profile allows it to fit easily underneath vehicles, buildings, or in pipelines. Operating the platform in crawl inspections or hostile environments will keep you safe from the danger zone.
The carbon fiber frame and its components have been CNC machined to ensure an ideal fit. The thick panels make it extremely durable and lightweight at the same time. Each panel is replaceable and upgradable per custom order.
Thanks to two 5000 mAh powerful LiPo batteries, the platform can be operated for a significant amount of time before needing to be charged again. The batteries are charged externally through waterproof connectors but can also be accessed by removing the top panel. Two hard case LiPo batteries are designed to withstand vibrations and rough use, and are less prone to failure. All batteries and components are secured to the platform body, preventing any rattling or loosening.
The platform features hard and grippy tires, making it highly controllable. The tires can be easily replaced or upgraded thanks to the standard bead lock setup on the rims. This setup is a perfect match for the four powerful gear motors that are ready to tackle any terrain. The wheels are directly mounted and secured on the motor shaft. The platform chassis is designed to be drivable on both sides, with a bottom clearance of 1.8 inches and a top clearance of 1 inch. There is enough clearance on both sides to keep the body at a safe distance from the ground.
To ensure the platform’s safety, the transmitter comes with a programmed safety switch that needs to be released before use. The main power switches on the platform are equipped with red LED rings, indicating when the platform is powered on. The transmitter itself includes additional safety features such as voice feedback for inactivity alarm, safety switch, and speed selector.
All lights can be turned on with a press of a switch, and they are brighter than most flashlights. This ensures that you will never lose orientation of which direction the platform is facing.
