The primary controller of the M5Dial is the M5StampS3, a micro module that utilizes the high-performing, low-power-consuming ESP32-S3 chip. This chip supports Wi-Fi and various peripheral interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, and ADC, among others. The M5StampS3 also boasts 8MB of built-in Flash, offering ample storage space.
The M5Dial’s distinguishing feature is its rotary encoder, which precisely records the position and direction of the knob, thereby enhancing the interactive experience. This feature allows for the adjustment of settings such as volume, brightness, and menu options, as well as the control of home applications like lights, air conditioning, and curtains.
