The M5Stack ATOMIC Stepmotor Base (DRV8825) is a standalone variant of the ATOM Stepmotor, specifically designed for those who already possess an ATOM series controller. This base is furnished with a high-performance DRV8825 driver chip, which is instrumental in driving stepper motors. The variable resistor can be adjusted to provide a maximum driving capability of 1.2A, thereby ensuring a stable and potent power supply for the stepper motor.
The chip within the base comes with an in-built overcurrent protection feature, which guarantees the safe operation of both the motor and the base. The ATOMIC Stepmotor Base also boasts a convenient DIP switch, which allows for flexible adjustment of the stepper motor’s subdivision. Additionally, the base incorporates a built-in DC chip, which can be powered by an external power supply for the entire system.
