The Luxonis OAK-D Pro PoE Fixed-Focus Camera is a superior camera designed for robotic vision, capable of perceiving the world in a manner akin to human vision. This is achieved by integrating an active stereo depth camera and a high-resolution color camera, along with on-device Neural Network inferencing and Computer Vision capabilities. The camera also includes night vision capabilities, allowing it to perceive low-light and no-light environments effectively.
The professional version of this camera is recommended for applications that necessitate high-quality and reliable stereo depth perception in various environments, including low-light and texture-less scenes. This is where traditional passive stereo approaches often encounter difficulties. The camera utilizes Power over Ethernet (PoE) for both power and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, enabling communication with other computers via networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, and MQTT.
The Luxonis OAK-D Pro PoE ff also features device flash memory, allowing for the execution of programs in standalone mode. The camera is housed in a robust, IP-rated enclosure, making it suitable for industrial and outdoor use.
The camera boasts several key features, including 4 TOPS of processing power and active stereo capabilities with an IR dot projector to enhance depth perception. It also includes night vision capabilities with an IR illumination LED, enabling the operation of AI and CV algorithms in low-light or no-light environments.
The camera supports the running of any AI model, including custom architectured/built ones, and offers various encoding options. It also provides computer vision capabilities such as warp, resize, and crop via ImageManip node, edge detection, and feature tracking. The camera also supports stereo depth perception with filtering, post-processing, RGB-depth alignment, and high configurability. It is equipped with a BNO086 IMU single-chip 9-axis sensor with embedded sensor fusion and offers 2D and 3D object-tracking capabilities with an ObjectTracker node.
